Head Coach Keegan Mueller has competed in Division I Wrestling for The Ohio State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and coached at The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, another Division I program. D1Fit focuses on the athlete, period! This is 100% the Division 1 experience. D1Fit combines CrossFit training and Division I college athletics strength and conditioning to create the full package training program. D1Fit is anything but divided. If your goals match that of our mission statement, then we would love to have you join. There is a difference on every team among the athletes. Some people start off with potential, some have talent, some have God-given ability, while others are striving to grow. Whatever stage you are in I want to develop you to your full potential.

The one thing that we require is a maximum effort at each practice.

D1Fit's Dallas CrossFit box can be tailored to anybody. This is intense workouts, but with the proper technique and training the body can take what the mind will allow. About Keegan:

    Keegan Mueller is a recent MBA graduate of The Citadel business school in Charleston, SC. His experience as a leader in fitness is accentuated in his five years as a Division I wrestler, two at The Ohio State University and three at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Also, he worked as the Assistant Coach for The Citadel wrestling team, another Division I program.

    Keegan has coached and trained four All-Academy Champions, three Southern Conference Champions, four NCAA Championship Qualifiers, two freestyle National Champions and one Olympian. 

     Keegan was a varsity letterman for The Ohio State University and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He was twice named All-Atlantic Coast Conference team member. Keegan was ranked as high as 6th in the country in Division I NCAA, was a two time NCAA tournament qualifier and an Atlantic Coastal Conference (ACC) Champion 165 lbs.

Looking back at where we started is fun to remember. Sept. 2012 was the beginning of D1Fit. We trained in CrossFit for about a month and a half without the affiliate, but we were running our little attempt at CrossFit out of Mark Madol's gym, The Studio on Preston and 635. We did 90% of our workouts outside next to 2 dumpsters in the summer heat. That month we gained 12 members. Out of that original 12 we still have 7 that are active and going strong with the box 9 months later. 
 
Training in the heat next to the dumpsters was pretty crazy but I can't tell you how awesome that is looking back on now. Our short time there seemed like forever. We were so pumped when we moved into the Forest and Greenville location. After 100 lbs of dust and tons of walls and ceilings demolished, we were in our new home.
 
This place has literally been alter by the hands, sweat and hard work of the members at this box. They have physically helped me take down walls, paid memberships that have been reinvested in the equipment, and bought into the team atmosphere that is a necessity at D1Fit CrossFit. When I first started my career as a coach, at The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, I went there with the attitude that I was going to change that place in the best way possible. As noble as that may be, the real change came from what I gained from the students. I can honestly say that the people here have changed my life. They come here before, after, or even during work, bust there tails and then go home. All while engaging with others and holding people accountable. I love what we have learned in this first year and I am excited about us continuing to grow as athletes and coaches. Along the way I have been blessed with acquiring great coaches, students and friends. USAW level 1 is just the beginning of our continued learning outside of CrossFit that will help make our CrossFit training better. I plan on going for the CrossFit level 2 in the near future to continue my learning in CrossFit. I cannot wait to see those that stick around through the next 9 months so that we can all celebrate together where we have gone in our athletic and training journey. We currently have D1Fit CrossFit, D1Fit Teens, D1Fit Wrestling and D1Fit Soccer. Thank you for being apart of the D1Fit team.

Next month we will be really focusing on the strength and skills for our competitors. We are putting the finishing touches on what changes are to be made. But considering we are far from next years open. It is a great time for us to continue to build on our great foundation.
